    Favorite G-Body Interior

Unless we are both oddballs...I'm definitely a bench/column shift guy as well (exception - buckets and lightning rods of course). Lean back, arm up, cruise! Overall I like Cutlass interiors visually. GP dashes are sweet, but never really cared for the GP center console myself.

    T-top Trim

I was curious what you may have come up with for a suitable replacement for the trim around the 3 edges of the glass? I have an '85 Monte and the tops I have are non locking and the black edging is cracked in several places. Still all there but very cracked. I have come across a really cheap set...

    T-Top swap...'85 Monte

My current non locking ones have a sort of plastic trim around the 3 sides. Kind of like the aftermarket door edge guards crap that you can get. Hadn't realized some have and some dont. I'll look into it. Thanks

    T-Top swap...'85 Monte

Hey guys and gals. I have an '85 Monte with non locking T-Tops that the previous owner had RTVd into place. Needless to say, the first thing I did once I got it running was take a razorblade to them so I could use them. I have new weather stripping but these ratty looking Ts. I've found a...

    81-88 Monte weatherstripping w/T-Tops info

Going on a short 300 mile round trip road trip for Christmas and found a guy on Craigslist in that area selling a "new, unused" SoffSeal kit for $300 (new is around $400, obviously I'd offer less) but I have heard a couple times that SoffSeal fitment isn't worth a damn. Any other input from...

    81-88 Monte weatherstripping w/T-Tops info

Looking for info and preferences on weatherstripping kits for my '85 SC w/T-Tops. I know they aren't cheap, so I was hoping for info on any quality brands that are close to reasonably priced. I don't mind buying a "complete" kit that includes trunk seals and all, but at least need an entire...

    Sealed Beam opinions and preferences...

I was looking at the H4 setups myself. I was wondering how they are...anyone???

    Sealed Beam opinions and preferences...

I do like the look and brightness of the clean white bulbs and prefer them over the "yellow" look of the standard bulbs while driving at night, which is often.

    Sealed Beam opinions and preferences...

Hey all. Currently building an '85 SC Monte and to this point its still a driving project until I get to the motor swap portion of it. Anyways, one of the sealed beam headlights seal has broken and is collecting water, so time to replace them. I was curious as to some of your opinions on...

    Differential Cross-Shaft Pin

Very common for the shaft bolt to break. I've had to take many of them apart & the easiest way to get the remaining part of the bolt out is with a very fine tipped straight pick. When these bolts break, there is ALMOST always a very, very small part of the bolt thread left on the section that...

    Ignition issue. No "Accessory" position

Hey all. I'm looking for information (possible parts needed & difficulty) on the ignition/cylinder in my '85 Monte. I have no accessory position when turning the key backward/counter clockwise. The only way to power anything up is to turn the key forward to Key On Engine Off which obviously...

    gas tank

2 out of the 3 Montes that I have had, had an issue with the fuel gauge (and only the fuel gauge) not reading correctly as well. Both however were very sporadic and both ended up being what is referred to as the "pressed circuit" in the dash. All of the gauges and bulbs work off of a flimsy...

    Rebuilding my 83 LS

Very solid looking Monte and the wheels look great on it too. It's not a LS model though. Different front and rear fascia on the LS model '86-'88 only. Great color as well, always a fan of the grays and silvers. As for the motor, you can do just about anything to a 305 that you can to a 350...

    cowl induction hood

Personally, I think the 2" cowl is by far the better looking of them all. Only reason for the 4"+ is if you are stuffing something under there and need the room lol. If you like the looks, go for it, regardless of what's under the hood. It's your ride and that's the look you are going for.

    Monte Carlo 4.3 T-Top

Thanks Anubis. And actually the way the green turned out was just going to be a temporary thing. When I painted it, I only did the top/hood, and drivers side. This is a rolling/driving project so there was no way I was driving a stock green/yellow/and black car LOL. I didn't clear coat it...
