the recaro seats out of the older vw gti's are nice seats, if you're lucky you can find em in a wrecker...or online
the first gen talon seats are nice too
a little fabrication and you can toss whatever seats you want in there
jack up the rear end, mark the wheel and driveshaft. rotate one of the wheels and count how many times the driveshaft rotates for one revolution of the tire...that'll give you a basic idea of the ratio
as for the posi/open diff question.... easy, nice big burnout....count the tire marks :)
there are a lot of stocks that are way down right now through no fault of their own. these are companys that were run well, doing good business but are just way down because of the overall economy. there are a lot of deals to be had right now, but dont expect much in the short term
viscosity is a measure of how thick a liquid is (or resistance to flow...something like that)
if 2 oils have the same viscosity...they're both just as thick/thin
google will tell you.... a manual will tell you.
you can buy a "one man bleeding kit" as well
theres several ways to do it, make sure its done properly though...opening up brake lines should maybe be done by someone with the proper knowledge to do the job properly

is the water pump that you used working properly etc
start with the things that are common to both, and go from there
switching from 2.41 to 2.74 isnt worth the effort
it wont be that much difference from where you are
what trans do you have in the car? my buddy has a th350 and 3.42 and its a pretty decent around town and on the highway
i was gonna go with 3.73's in my regal, but it had the OD trans...
what is in your car right now? is the rear end posi?
by the price i'd think not.
if it were me, id wait on a more desirable ratio, and a rear end with a posi in it.
your best bet is to listen for it.
have someone put their hand over the muffler outlet (use a rag...its hot)
and listen for where the noise is coming from.... a hissing type of sound.
or you could take it to a local muffler shop....from the sounds of it, thats probably where you're gonna...
