Its all buttoned up! Took it for a short 20 mile ride today, just to make sure nothing loosened up and I wouldn't have any issues. For those who haven't been following, here are the changes:
Khrome Werks 1.25" Diameter 10" Bobber Apes
LA Choppers 1.25" Riser Clamp
Alloy Art Polyurethane Riser Bushings
Drag Specialties Master Cylinder for 1.25" Bars
Barnett High Efficiency Clutch Cable (stock length)
Barnett Throttle Cables (stock length)
Drag Specialties Front Brake Line Set (Stock Length)
Harley-Davidson Dot 5 Brake Fluid
Harley-Davidson Forumula+ Transmission Fluid
Extended Turn Signal Switch Caps
Adjusted Shifter Pawl
Gas tank paint touch up
So far I'm happy with the way it looks. A little too early to tell how comfortable the bars will be, but I think I'll like them. The bike already feels more nimble and manageable for a guy my size (5'3" ~150lbs).
I still have that "ape hanger" look, but more comfortable. The 1.25" bars really accentuate the fat look of the bike.
The cables and lines came out really clean, I'm super happy with the fit. In my opinon there is nothing that makes a bike look more cluttered and messy than super long cables that don't have the proper routing.
I think they look pretty good with the windshield off, also.
The paint touch up didn't come out perfect, but I wasn't expecting too much. The paint was rubbed off in two spots about the size of a quarter, total, right down to the primer. The color match is great though!
