Who remembers Vanrahs’ Bronze Brick?
I bought the car From Ole Bob. Drove it maybe 1500 miles. I made the decision to go twin turbo LS about the same time a good friend and tv star was in a big jam and desperately needed a SBC and a TH350 to finish filming a show for Motortrend. So I agreed for them to pull it all out on air with the agreement that it all was returned to me in as good or better condition. So fast forward a few months and the episode airs. I send Bob my sign on so he could watch. It deeply upset him the way his work was treated. It made a big smoky burn out at 6,000 rpm and the power of editing it looked like it was for minutes. So I have the car in the same condition as it was when I paid bob $20k for it with all the stock parts and all the books etc... At this point the car needs to go to a better owner as I have disappointed Bob and that was the last thing I intended to do. This is truly the most perfect 40 year old car you will ever find. Bob had the bumpers and hood put on and they didn’t paint match very well so it could use paint or wrapped. It is 100% rust free. Bob tells me it hasn’t ever been wrecked. The motor and trans are now property of Motortrend. Bob could help with someone doing another 406 like what was in it and another perfect TH350. I have had 12 major surgeries and I’m done with projects. The car sits in my warehouse waiting it’s turn to be resurrected or sold. I want $14,000 for it. I have a 355 that will come with it. It will need a rebuild as it lost oil pressure right after break In. Could be simple or could need new bearings. It’s a healthy motor. Somewhere around 430-450 hp.
if you remember the car you know how special it is.
