I know this has been beat to death but i need some help with the 140 amp alternator swap. I did the rally gauge conversion a while back so now ive got the volt gauge but my charge light works too. When i put the new alternator on, i got the adapter wire without the resistor. I got the alt at a salvage yard and had it tested right after and it was only charging at 74 amps back then but i went ahead and put it on because i needed an alt, didnt have much money at the time, and even at 74a it still charged more than my stock alt. Last weekend, i changed all my dash lights except the turn signal indicators to leds. A couple hours after changin them, i was drivin around and noticed my turn signals werent flashing while the headlights were on but theyd flash with the headlight off. After drivin it around for a couple hours, i noticed that my batt wasnt really charging. After extensive testing, i came to the conclusion that the leds probably werent causing the problem and that the alt had finally gone bad. Had an extra alt that was 120 amps so i went and had it rebuilt. Put it on today, and its not even tryin to charge. So now im wonderin where the problem is. Maybe the alt wasnt rebuilt right but the guy who did it is known as 1 of the best in town so i dunno? Maybe since i have a charge light and a volt gauge, i need the adapter wire with the resistor? Maybe the leds are causin problems? Somebody please help!!!

Btw the battery is a duralast gold from autozone and its only about 2 months old so ive pretty much ruled that out. Also, the starter hits perfect every time as long as the batt is charged so ive ruled that out too...

Are you using the Charge//ALT warning light? Did you swap the Charge/ALT warning light to LED? And you are saying everything was fine after the Rallye Pac swap, and the problem started only after the LED swap?

Check the brown wire to your alternator for issues. It is the wire that causes your alternator to start producing current.
