hello to all! Need some help! My charge battery light came on but the car hasn't shut off and the volts are pretty good. Any ideas/suggestions? Thank you in advance!

could be one of the phases is fried, time to rebuild it or get a rebuilt one. I don't like the alternators from the parts store. I always suggest to find a local shop that rebuilds them

Make sure there isn't a break in the wiring and that alternator is actually charging. Measure it at the battery and alternator.

I'm glad your getting it rebuilt instead of buying a chinese rebuilt alternator. Is the shop upgrading it to put out more amps?

Thank you! Yup took your advice on getting it rebuilt didn't want to keep having problems with that Chinese stuff! I don't think so it didn't cross my mind to have them do it. Hopefully they do a good job and it lasts me for a while. It was the original one.

Getting it rebuilt by a local shop helps to keep their doors open, keeps the money in the local economy and they usually back up their work...:)
