I picked up a Painless Wiring Alternator Kit.

That junction box is full full now.

Since I'm not using the evap canister, I decide to replace it with a vacuum canister instead of the factory ball canister.

This way the fender will look cleaner without the canister bolted to it. I space out the vac can bracket and figure out how to install it (since I want it in the same location as the evap can).

There's nothing close to bolt it to, so I figure out a bracket to bolt to the bracket. I'm probably going to come up with a better solution than this, but for now I'm going with it.

Not bad. When someone looks, at first glance it'll look factory.

Did you put a 30 amp fuse on the red power wire to the blower relay? Hate to see heat damage sneak up on you at the new connector.
It's fused at the starter with a factory style fusible link.

Even with the fusible link I'd still put one up by the relay. I've seem too many of those burnt/melted connectors cause GM bean counters removed that fuse in the mid '70's. Adding this to both Jr.'s & my Montes.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't you using the EVAP canister to provide vent for gas tank, and carb bowls if equipped?

I'm using a simple tank vent at the rear coupled with a "roll over" valve
