The New England states are just as bad for salting. Then there are the cars that live on the coast with salt water storm spray!
Tried to mount my Holley Terminator X Max under the dash. Originally I was planning on mounting the ECU where the factory ECU was. The number of wires was not happy about bending into position. It seemed to naturally sit under the glove box.
First attempt proved my lack of skills in the hand drilling and tapping of 4 holes into aluminum. With no center punch or good pattern placement only 3 of 4 holes would line up. Drew up a PDF and had a local shop laser cut this mounting plate for me. Used 4 rubber isolation pads and a Haltech firewall grommet.

Since I'm on poly engine mounts. I want to mount my turbo to the engine. Maven Performance sells this mount to support the turbo. I just don't feel like 6 M8 bolts into an aluminum head should be asked to hold all this.
A lil wiring board for under the hood to mount 2 fuse boxes, a relay and a pair of Mac Valves. Always live will support headlight relays, PWM fans and who knows what else.
Other side will go live with Key on through the Leash relay. Will support alt excite wire, mac valves, elec to mech speedometer box and who knows what else.
This thermostat housing from the Holley mid mount is pointing right at the hot side. It might get changed to something straight.

That piece you drew and had laser cut is NICE and makes for a clean install. I bet you could sell a couple if you wanted.
I was curious about the Holley ECU fitting under a CCC carb'd vehicle kick panel. That's a bummer it was a no-go.
What is a CCC carb'd vehicle?
I mean if I really tried hard. Might have got it to work in the original location but this is a terminated harness. Everything seemed to lay in place. All the connectors are right near the sensors and outputs. Just seemed to naturally want to be under the dash. I kind of like how the LED's will be visible too.
Not looking to sell the brackets but I'd be happy to share the PDF for the bracket with anyone trying to mount a Terminator X max.

I think I've read another post saying the coils fit with the stock HVAC but mine did not. Using Holley clamshell poly mounts. There was a severe interference issue.
Cut the passenger side bracket, trimmed, bent and painted it to relate the coil higher.

CCC = Computer Command Control = state of the art (@ that time) electronic control of the carbs on late 70's/early 80's GM cars. The computers were mounted behind the Pass side kick panel w/a 2nd panel covering it.
CCC controlled the fuel mixture on the primary side of the carburetor, the ignition timing advance, convertor lockup for auto trans cars, and some of the emission components. Depending on year and model it also had a knock retard system. The CCC system layout varied with each GM division and engine type. Chevy had an optional ZZ4 performance chip for their version of the CCC system. Even the early carb turbo Buick V6s used CCC before switching to EFI.
