Not much to update. Set the engine in the car. The Flowtech 1 3/4" does not clear the steering shaft. The flexplate was grazing the rear seal cover bolts. Had to add a crank spacer.
The 302 oil pan from Holley fits nicely.

Trying something really different here.

I didn't have confidence in the angled upper control arms. Don't feel like they do a good job at locating the axle housing side to side. I've always felt if you push these cars side to side. They move some. Fox Mustangs have the same thing going on here. We've all seen the Mustangs into crowds and heard of the G body shuffle.
My friends Camaro has none of that going on. Feels solid side to side so I installed a panhard bar like an F body to control side movement.
Part of the package is a torque arm. With these two additions we can eliminate the 2 upper control arms.

The axle mount is an off the shelf item but the other side is totally custom. I am also going to add a bar for the mount to reach the driver's side for more support.

The torque arm will be mounted to a custom transmission crossmember that will also support my 4L80E.

I've been waiting for SpeedTech to come out w/a g-body version of their T/A set-up for the reasons mentioned. It get's worse the lower the car is as well & my stuff is low.

Please keep us posted on the mount progress.

Sweet! Only downside is the axle hop under braking if you're not careful. You'll never get that on the street though, it's more of a road course ism. It's hard to tell what the arm is bolted to, that isn't a Camaro axle is it?

I read about this & have always wondered if anything could be done to help and/or if it might be model (weight distribution) biased.? I know of a few g-body guys that opted to swap to a 3-link but not sure if that layout would also suffer as well. If not, what drives it on one (T/A) but not the other (3-link)?

Brake bias and brake application technique. Only time I get it anymore is if something goes away in the braking process.
