'80 442 Vortec swap won't run...

Been awhile since I last updated, but finally about ready to run...
Found a good head at junkyard to replace cracked even side... It's a 2001, aside from end markings, appears same as the 98... Installed new exhaust valves, pulled from cracked head, got new stem seals, did both heads, (Good thing, too, as an intake valve in original head was hanging up slightly. Used one out of cracked head, no drag, and seats good)...
Heads installed and torqued, primed oil pump, now have plenty of oil flow... It flowed from all lifters in seconds, and filled valley up to lifter tops in 20 seconds, so she's good to go, IMO... TESTED without pushrods, to make sure lifters were clear, will prime once more, after installing pushrods, and adjusting rockers...
A few more things to do before test fire, exhaust, intake install, distributor, plugs, alternator, wiring, etc.
But given all I've done to bottom end, pretty sure it'll run this time around...

Was loosely going for Olds 350 Gold, not even close, but it's supposed to have an Olds 350... It's Rustoleum engine paint... Also using their Satin Black, for brackets, etc...
What you've got looks great! I tried finding different types of gold paint but it's difficult to find "Olds" gold that's even close to correct, and none match each other. I'm also a big fan of Rust-Oleum and they're my spray paint of choice, switching from Krylon years ago.

This is about the closest i have found to a really correct Olds gold color.

If you were to first shoot the engine block with a gold base coat or a flat gold and then overshoot it with the gold top coat you think is correct, would that give you the correct depth and shade of color that you need?

Yeah, had I found an olds engine to build, I would have gone to the auto paint supply store, and gotten their paint, which was perfect match for a 72 350 I had for it... The rustoleum gold is similar, in that the more coats you hit it with, the brighter the color gets... the first time, I only did 2 coats, this time I did 4, and I kinda like how it came out...
I did try white as accent, and just didn't work, outside wire loom... Satin Black works far better for pulleys, valve covers, and brackets, paired with all the aluminum parts...

Aside from overhauling engine, I have done a few other things as well.. new brakes, Delco master, calipers, EBC yellow stuff pads, Delco rotors, hoses, new delco drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders... All new steering parts, as well... kyb shocks, front and rear...
New T/As, 245/60-14 rear, 235/60-14 front...
New 1" sway bar for rear, replacing broken stock bar... New MOOG GNX progressive rear springs, McClaren spec... LED bulbs for all but headlights... replaced black wire harness loom with white for engine harness and lighting harness...

Looks good BUT how does it RUN. I see from the picture the heads are 906 castings.
Haven't quite gotten there yet, final assembly ls underway, test fire... Unfortunately a lot of other things in line get done first... Slowing progress to a crawl... Actually the original '98 odd head, is now even, replacing cracked passenger side.. The replacement 2001 odd head is drivers side, and it's a 3 hump head...
