Been awhile since I last updated, but finally about ready to run...
Found a good head at junkyard to replace cracked even side... It's a 2001, aside from end markings, appears same as the 98... Installed new exhaust valves, pulled from cracked head, got new stem seals, did both heads, (Good thing, too, as an intake valve in original head was hanging up slightly. Used one out of cracked head, no drag, and seats good)...
Heads installed and torqued, primed oil pump, now have plenty of oil flow... It flowed from all lifters in seconds, and filled valley up to lifter tops in 20 seconds, so she's good to go, IMO... TESTED without pushrods, to make sure lifters were clear, will prime once more, after installing pushrods, and adjusting rockers...
A few more things to do before test fire, exhaust, intake install, distributor, plugs, alternator, wiring, etc.
But given all I've done to bottom end, pretty sure it'll run this time around...
