Right. Or any old GM car. Only late models do that. They prevent saggy visors that won't stay put. I need to decide where to screw them in. Either there may be some reinforcing structure between the roof and headliner. Or the trim strip can be drilled and screwed. I can't remember what was under there when I did the headliner. I remember structure but not where it was exactly.

Have you considered embedding neodymium magnets into the visor and headliner? They're cheap, extremely easy to utilize, hide like a dream, and work forever without wear. I'm considering going that route with my lighted 88-92 Regal visors and concealing the clip rod with a 3D printed cover.
Also, since my father turns old Singer machines into furniture I asked about the machines inside and their ability to sew through a visor board: without hesitation he said he had no doubt they'd punch through steadily. But neither of us sew.
