So in my infinite wisdom and getting excited buying parts, I bought a set of OE replacement style plug wires for my motor. No problem with the wires themselves, just that the spark plug end of the boot will melt on the header just about on every cylinder. Looking for a recommendation on a plug...
Hey gang. I need some recommendations for radiator hoses. I have a new aluminium radiator with the inlet and outlet nozzles on the passenger side. Are there any hoses / part numbers that work well for this setup. I'm running the truck water pump for the 6.0.
Hey all. Is it okay to plug off or bypass the hydro boost line on the power steering pump I have that came with my 6.0L? Can I just loop that line back with the return on the power steering line?
I dug around quickly in the interwebs but dint really come up with anything.
The leefybeaver is a slightly more noble version of the traditional Canadian beaver. Hard to find in the wild, but you will know right away when you cross its path! :ROFLMAO:
I know this subject has been beat to death so why not some more. I'm going to order parts today for the 6.0L swap in my 84 Buick. Friend says to me yesterday: "You think the sump on the GM Performance Muscle Car Swap oil pan is still too deep?" And then my brain exploded, and I started looking...
So I'm sure i'm not the first to ask this...I was planning on getting the Holley engine mounts for my 6.0LSx swap. I would like to get a set of long tube headers as well. I straight up can't and wont pay the $800 for the Hooker headers. I know guys are having success with some of the cheaper...
The guys I was talking to about the printing have every material from that crappy brittle plastic that was used in the beginning to ABS, vinyl and some rubber. They also have (or claim) the largest 3D printer in North America. So i'm hoping they know their stuff! When I get one done ill let you...
I actually had a gauge bezel modeled up in college cuz i thought i was going to have lots of money after school and build a really nice gauge cluster....RIIIIGHT!
That was going to be my next project in this dpeartment. I have a digital dash in my Regal and as cool as that is I think it will be tough to make that speedo work with LS swap and 4L60 (without getting one of those super expensive mechanical speedo outputs). Making models is free, so maybe when...
So I had the idea (I'm sure someone else has already done it) to 3D print the dash bezel for the HVAC and radio controls in my Buick. Like everyone else I have a single DIN after market deck in the car and then you're left with a gaping hole, or a terrible looking plastic filler in hole. So why...
The grey one is plugged because I don't have the heater valve on the coolant line. No AC so based on the previous replies it doesn't look as though I would need it as the heater control valve was only used to shut the water flow off during max AC operation.
Thanks for the help guys. System seems to be working alright. Well better than before. Pretty neat for 1984 to have a thermostatic heater and AC in that car!
