When u use ceramic pads, dust is not an issue. There might of been spider cracks, but I didn't see em or they weren't detectable to the naked to the eye.
Btw my cuerent car has drilled rotors, 50k amd still goin strong. I as well as the mechamic inspect the brakes on every tire rotation.
My...
Three differents of rotors including the mfrs? I don't think so. When it comes to brakes I never skimp on quality and buy the cheapest. So say what u will.

Just my .02 here.
Fom the research I've done, the slots will keep the brake pads surface from glazing aka the slots basically act as a shaver thus for regular street use, not really feasable. Racing is best suited for.
Now drilled rotors on the other hand is different. They do keep the rotors...
Love all of the posts on the chevette. Really ingenious on how youre tackling each issue you run into. Personally, I like the velocity stack look tho - classic. Love to see that popping out of the hood with no scoop.
I'll bet you get some lookers when driving as well.
Welcome Pics r always good.
The 200r4 would mount up nicely and give about the same ratio as the th350 and jic you do take a trip in it will keep your mileage up. Yes they are a bit weaker, but if built correctly they can handle the hp.
Nice Monte. My favorite style as well.
The IA winter roads do take their tolls on our cars. That's why we don't see many around. They're even becoming hard to find in the yards. Don't blame you one bit. Mine doesn't see snow either.
One suggestion to consider. Switch out the th350 for a properly built 200r. You'll still have power when you want it, but when cruising in OD you'll get much better mileage In lower rpm's.
I like it. You saved a good car from the crusher and doing something with it and using ingenuity to implement. Keep after it
On a side note, a guy at work took a Porsche 944 and stuck a 350 in it. The looks he gets are priceless when he steps on it. Not only that, it puts other Porsches to...
To clean it up, get the plastic cover that mounts from the under side of the dash to the firewall. Cleans it up nicely. They come standard on Monte cl (not ss), regal and the olds variant.
I can send a pic of one later if you like.

This isn't a GN/Elco, but a pretty darn good looking vehicle.
What I really like is that the rear seats were saved in the build.
Not sure how it ended up here, but interesting none the less...
I don't know about you guys, but in my younger days on a 72 camaro, we unbolted the trans, removed the three flywheel-torque converter bolts by turning the motor and then pulled it w/o the trans attached. We supported the trans with a jack or whatever we could find.. Keep in mind we weren't...
