Finally got tires and wheels on the Monte. Really changed the car. I think this is a keeper. 8" rear, 7' front 3&3/4" bs. 255/60R15 & 235/60R15. Here are acouple of photo`s
and an interior shot
The new project is a 78 Monte Carlo 305 and a 4spd. Going to be strictly a cruiser and driver. I would like to use 15" wheels and tires same size all around. What are some specs not to wide and fill up the fender well
and not hanging out of the fender?
Need the front and rear bumper inserts for a 78 Monte Carlo I just bought. Does anyone still make these. If needed when I get the car home I will get some photo`s of what I need.

There is no computer of any kind on this GMC. I believe the thing on the steering column is the interlock. The 3 wire connector has 2 pink and one yellow wire. No purple. One pink is battery the other pink goes hot when you move the ignition to on and the yellow goes hot in the start position...

Yes I have done all that you suggest. I am not worried about the locks working. I need to take the door off to replace a door hinge pin and just wonder if there is connection rite there to to take the wire loose. No problem with the smarta$$ remark. I probably would have said the same thing.:)
