What did you do to your g-body today 2025 Edition!
Could of done it like they did back in the day (just like a cat), where it fits it sits. The one house we had (built between 1895 & 1905) the toilet was right next to where the washer & dryer was set up with no divider or privacy. Even had a window so anyone walking between the houses can watch...- pagrunt

dash plug ID help.
You're missing the blue plug that's for the rear speakers which is a stand alone harness. Other than that it looks like you have everything else. Black 4 cavity with 3 wires for power & back light, white for the front speakers, black 2 cavity for the clock memory & back light dimming. Not sure...- pagrunt

Pontiac OHC-6 SPRINT parts on fleabay
Back when I was still living on the North Side there was a yard not far from the Pittsburgh city line that had a '69 Firebird that had the Sprint engine. It was on the ground next to it with the intake & exhaust still attached but no carb. Even had a Muncie 3 speed with it. If I knew now back...- pagrunt

Neutral safety switch on 79 Monte
In addition of what all ELCAM has posted I have a gift for you to make things easier that'll work with all posted here with out the need of linkage. Neutral safety switch on 79 Monte
That'll be something I would have to have it in front of me to see which switch works for back up or neutral safety.. To see which is which, get a self powered test light & see which on lights it up in reverse & park+neutral. For me in this situation I would make plug & play hanesses to look...- pagrunt

Neutral safety switch on 79 Monte
Our cars will not have any wires going to a neutral safety switch for an automatic. As ELCAM stated, it'll be mechanical & mounted on the steering column towards the firewall. This will also have the back up light swtch intergraded in it too. As for the year of the column, it won't matter as '79...- pagrunt

What did you buy for your Gbody today? (2025)
I was able to get my hands on to a auto tint rear view mirror that has compass, temp & map/courtesy lights. This will be for my Monte Carlo as I've been looking for a long time for one of these dispite the other ones I've pulled from the yards.- pagrunt

The "I'm Obsessive With Lawn Tractors" Thread
Yea, that belt didn't make it too far past the starting line for this spring's first mow. Chewed up & jumped off the pulleys to high light the fact all the belt guards need to be replaced. Did give some love taps from the dead blow hammer to make a temporary fix to the angled idler pulley. Now...- pagrunt

Does anyone here regret their auto to manual swap?
I swapped a Saginaw into my '81 Monte 26 years ago & did a '72 four years before that. Next I'll be doing the swap to my boy's '79. I try to get more spare parts for just in case I get another with an automatic. As a slightly cheaper swap, did you evrt put any thought into a T5 out of an F body...- pagrunt

You know you must display a form of showing shame for just going to a Pirates game even if it was for a good reason. MONTE CARLO 700r4 swap 87 Monte
Should also get the mechanical speedo tailhousing from a B or D body 700-R4. These also have a transmission mount pad that'll be closer to older Turbo Hyromatics.- pagrunt

'78-'79 Malibu SBC oil pan/dipstick question.
I've just seen the dipstick & tube on Fleabay in the past week. As for using the block mounted dipstick & tube it is possible. I had a 307 that used the manifolds from my old '79 Monte & it's smashed tube as an old owner swapped in an earlier 305 with out swapping the oil pan. Never had an issue...- pagrunt

ADVICE NEEDED FOR NEW ENGINE
Pa does the mileage thing in the emission counties regular registrations with 5000 or less is exempt for testing but new owners have to get the test for their first inspection. Older than '75 are exempt due to age.- pagrunt
