Beautiful car.....should bring top dollar. Only 124 V8 4 speed Malibus that particular year? Thought they were a little more common than that.

    The junkyard will provide

Correct. Technically the front is the ISS (input speed sensor)....because they are the same style sensor and out of shear laziness, I refer to them both as VSS.

LOL........for the most part.....it is that type of female that tends to be drawn to any autmotive occupation in general. Of course at the yards I've been to, the counter girls aren't exactly "easy on the eyes".....but I don't complain since they never question you when you slam your part up on...

Rear connector is pretty snug....I don't want to break the sensor.....the 3 other 2wd 4l80E's in my shop also have front and rear VSS's. I have a 4wd 4l80e with the rear plug (I believe the rear VSS is in the transfer case to account for 4LO).

This is a once a year event....the remainder of the year, they are pretty stingy......as an example if you pull a motor... they will charge extra if you leave intake, injectors, water pump etc. attached to the block.....I've even had them charge extra for a wiring connector if I cut rather than...

Tag has a 2004 build date. It does have front and rear VSS (I thought all years had 2). I pulled the pan yesterday.....fluid was pretty dark, has a decent amount of clutch material in it.....but nothing metallic and no large pieces of debris. Cut the filter open and wasn't too bad inside...

Been a few years since I last bought one....but ebay used to have used ones for $15-20.

No remotes. I've pulled at least 50 of these over the years and can only recall one time finding a remote.

Yesterday was the annual Harvest Days at the local U-Pull-It. $40 for a full wheel barrow..., you have to successfully push it through a short obstacle course without losing any parts before being allowed to leave. I filled up 2 wheel barrows: Grabbed 3 different sized truck tires. All have...

Thinking of selling my wheels and tires, what's a fair price?

In my area.....I could see those easily bringing $600......likely more if you wait for the right buyer.

Convert 87 cutlass supreme w/euro front clip to older style front

Fortunately for you, the euro header pieces are highly sought after. After selling what you have and buying the 81-86 header..... should be up around $500 or more.

84 Grand National lq4 turbo swap

I just bought a 2wd 4l80e with 40k miles on a rebuild for $350. They are out there.

Be careful what you say online.

But you didn't insult him specifically (see quote below). As I pointed out earlier....I am the "kind of dumbass that buys an emission deleted vehicle". I would say a large percentage of this forum are "dumbasses" that meet your description.

Be careful what you say online.

For Dodge.....DEF I believe started in 2013, DPF in late 2007 My political views are very libertarian.....I get into quite a few arguments on this type of subject.

Be careful what you say online.

Not to mention his truck was an 08......the 5.9 Cummins in the same body style (early 07 and previous) would not have had DPF from the factory......and the 03-04 era trucks had no factory cat. So from an emmissions standpoint, this truck is likely not practically different than an earlier year...

Be careful what you say online.

I don't drive new vehicles. Newest thing I own is an 03 Suburban. But for me it is a matter of practicality.....if I'm replacing the entire exhaust.....the cats are not going back on. If I'm pulling an emmissions intact 307 or sbc for an ls swap.....the new drivetrain will not retain its...

Be careful what you say online.

In the last 20 years, I've purchased 10 80's vehicles (8 g-bodies, an 87 c10 and an 89 f250). Only 4 had factory emissions intact at time of purchase.....I deleted emissions myself on those 4 within a few years. In my area if its 80's and older......and has had any kind of performance...

    Are LS guys Chevy guys?

That's a solid price for all......particularly the lq9. And if you are concerned about getting junk......hold out for one that you can hear run....or buy a complete vehicle.
