If they are the 2241's then those are the exact headers I have on mine. No fitment issues here but they are a pain to work around. Maybe you have the wrong engine mounts or ended up with a faulty pair of headers?
Sucks to hear. When I did mine I ended up buying the kind of tool you mount in a vice and then hammer in the die to create the flare. A major pain in the you-know-what, especially when flaring a section of hard line that's 8 feet long or so.
Do NOT use the Command Center. It's junk. I have the 800hp Meanstreet FiTech kit on my 496 and im using the inline pump they sell. My first pump had 'FiTech" written on it, it failed after 4 months. They sent me a replacement for free that was a Bosch pump. It looked exactly the same so im not...
Not surprising with KMJ garbage. The old saying "get what ya pay for" really applies to them. Ironically enough I bought a KMJ oil pan for my 496 years ago and it rusted through the zinc coating while it sat on the stand. By then it was a year or so after I bought it so it was on me.
Also had...
Just saying what Holley and FiTech told me when I was planning the EFI swap. Like I said, it probably mainly depends on the type of line and fittings you use. Who knows, I didn't wanna risk it.
Just remember aluminum lines are a no go with fuel injection. I don't know if you have that or plan on it in the future. As for the fittings, aluminum will work just fine. I have all aluminum in mine except the higher PSI hoses for my power steering, hydroboost, and the brake lines coming from...
Can't go wrong with AN fittings. I have used quite a few different brands and never had issues except for some cheap ones I got off eBay. Most of the fittings, if not all of them in the Aerocoupe are Summit brand. The high pressure system I have for my power steering and hydroboost is Russell...
Do you already have pistons? If not I'd look for a set of open chamber heads like the 049 or 781 castings. You'd have to use a domed piston to have any real compression but if you haven't bought pistons yet that's not an issue.
I was kind of hoping to be able to buy something like a fuel cell vent thats a bulkhead style fitting that way I can just drill a hole in the cap and mount it there but after looking at my cap I don't think that will work unless I can find something very small. Drilling the reservoir might be...
Good to know. I have thought about switching to a different, more performance oriented fluid as opposed to the off the shelf stuff im using now.
I looked at the PSC stuff when I did the swap but that's just way too much money for me. I did end up with the PSC housing for the pump that lets me...
