Okay guys since I'm big block Chevy illiterate. I need something from you. My builder tells me I need a set of closed chamber oval Port big block Chevy heads. I'm going Friday to pick through a pile a multitude a horde if you will of big block Chevy heads and I don't know what I'm looking at. What I'm looking for or any casting numbers! But I know that my G-body brethren are going to help me out. pictures would be helpful maybe a list of casting numbers because I don't even know what a big block Chevy closed chamber head looks like. Any information would be helpful. I gotta get this thing back together

Do you already have pistons? If not I'd look for a set of open chamber heads like the 049 or 781 castings. You'd have to use a domed piston to have any real compression but if you haven't bought pistons yet that's not an issue.

I sure hope you aren't going to use that cam bearing with the paint and the front main bearing, its fooked now.

This is a low Buck ghetto build were using the original Pistons and sending it
