OK so here in lies the battle that is in me..... my 79 Monte has well under 100K miles.... the engine itself.... could use some TLC, the car was given to me and for the most part the engine and engine bay are the roughest looking part of the car... very obvious that the stock V6 needs a good...

so I went to the salvage yard and was poking around a few cars, found some potential engines that may or may not require rebuild, but here is the question what is with the Cadi engines I found that were mounted left to right vice front to back???? oh and I did find a nive 79 Cadi with a clean...

Ok so my understanding is there are a variation to the V6s that came in the Monte, now as of now I am still undable to tell which V6 I have other than knowing its a V6.. here is the question, what years of V6s can I swap in there with minimal modification... which years of V8s can I swap in...

truly apreciate this, have never done this, wasnt really thinking of trying to do it myself, was going to pay to have it done in order to keep original glass, as I have seen aftermarket glass and allot of it looks really flat and not normal... thanks though.

couldnt tell you, but if you cant find the elusive NOS parts I would say yeah better...your money though.. I talked to them a little after thier closing hours so there was really no representative to run over things with...
