Just picked up the car a few weeks ago and noticed it doesn't kick down from 3-2 or 2-1 on WOT, just stays in whatever gear it's in, upshifts fine and manually downshifts but I get nothing in drive. What gives?

I recently bought new door locks for my Monte, it came with the clip to keep it held in place to the door but didn't come with anything to keep the actuator on the lock, like a clip or whatever, what normally goes on there? Or what do I use and where can I get it from?

Engine is not the original one it came with, casting code is 14094766, it's a 305

Just bought a 78 monte and found casting number 14094766, what is this out of or what are the possible cars? Previous owner said it was out of an 88 Monte. I can't find the rpo code anywhere, not on the front of the block, I'm stumped, I just want to know what 305 it is (LG3, lo3..etc.)
