    1969 pontiac 400 into a 78 Grand Prix

The adapter plates Butler sells will allow the use of the later motor mount on an early block. However, all other body style block mounts don't work right. Once you set both mounts side by side, the difference is easily visible. I tried and ran the f body mounts for awhile, the motor sat too...

    Coilover spring rate

I can't tell you for sure in the front. I am currently running an iron headed Pontiac with stock v6 springs in the front. On the rear, I have 150 lbs coil overs on afco coil over shocks mounted in the stock shock location. Keep in mind, I do have a wagon which may be a little heavier on the...

    pontiac/oldsmobile headers

Point blank, Olds port spacing is WAY different than a Pontiac. You are going to have to remake some of the tubes to get them to fit.

    pontiac/oldsmobile headers

The flanges on Pontiac heads vs Olds heads are a bit different. Probably more work than it is worth to make one fit vs the other. I don't know about Oldsmobile, but I can tell you of one set of headers for a Pontiac in a G-body that fits and that is Maddog headers. I have a D-port Pontiac in my...

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

Thought I would update what my current times are and so on. I got put on the trailer early because I broke out. We only got 1 timed run and then they told us to dial in. Since that way my only pass I had gotten on this combination I dialed an 8.80. I made a few changes after the first timed...

Well, thought I would leave an update at this point. My 455 just now made it to the shop for machine work last week. So, looks like it might make the transplant by mid april. However, race season is about here and we were going this weekend until mother nature really shafted us. So...

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

So here is how the car sits now, with 9" rear installed and slicks. Got alot of odds and ends stuff done this weekend with some suspension parts. Getting the old u joint out proved to be fun thanks to the original one still being in the shaft, epoxy and all! A little heat and my 20 ton press...

Ok guys, just thought I would get a few pics with update. I have the 9" cleaned, brakes done, and hanging in the car. I just got my new order from summit of some adjustable shocks all the way around and my budget conforming wheels for the hoosier slicks....The motor is also coming along well...

Are monte ss and ls spindles the same?

Don't forget about the 2wd S10's too. I ordered summit brand drop spindles for my 98 S10 and it came in a Bell Tech box. They fit 82-04 S trucks I believe and G bodies. I think it was $149.99 but they turn up used on the S10 forum some.

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

So here are some more pics I just got sent to me from dad on the progress on the motor. Looks like the cylinder walls are cleaning up fine and the crank is good. I also am one ordered brake drum away from having the 9" done. We tore into it and found out it already had 4.30 gears and a mini...

    what gear to use

Well, based on the cam, it will probably be quicker with the 3.73s. However, have you checked the price of gas lately??? Given that bit of info, I would run the 3.42s all day long unless your trying to do alot of heads up racing.

    parts store funnies!!

I previously worked at one of these parts stores and believe me it's just as annoying to me trying to sell that crap as it was trying to be the customer alot of the time. Since I didn't sell many of the packs of junk crap, I had alot of return customers because I simply didn't hassle them with...

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

So off to the junkyard me and two friends went today to finally pull the 9". Well apparently the weather wasn't looking so good. It was 24 degrees and blowing snow hard. So we went anyway. And you can see from the looks on their faces how they felt about me dragging them to the junkyard this...

    301 to '67 pontiac 400

Dido on the motor mounts...if you find a later block for ex after 70 I believe it as all the sets of motor mount holes in the block. You can put a Later pontiac motor in an early car and it will bolt in but not a early block in a later car unless you want to buy those adapters..

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

You can't beat free weight in the right places :) and for racing purposes the roof rack is staying on there! You see alot of Malibus done but not hardly any Buicks. To be honest, I don't know of but about one other Regal Wagon I have ever seen in person. I am a fan of the Buicks front clip...

where baro sensor 83 el camino

All a map sensor is is a barometric pressure sensor. They come in several forms such as 1 bar, 2 bar, 3 bar etc. I have got to play with them alot and tricking them in some turbo applications I have done. 1 bar is 14.7 or atmospheric pressure, 2 bar is 29.4 or atmospheric pressure plus 14.7...

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

Believe me, I was SHOCKED someone would junk one and leave the rear in it. It was obviously someones former race car that got put in a wall somewhere and from the looks of the quarter panels I am guessing dirt track car.

    82 Regal Wagon Build Thread

Well guys here it is. My 82 Regal Estate Wagon that I bought somewhat by accident. I purchased it as a 70k mile shell with a recent motor swap. A friend of the family had purchased a 400 pontiac from my brother and swapped it and a new TH350 into this car and was his daily driver to work and...
