Yeah its common on the vortec 6.0L for the bolts to break on the manifolds. I have heard of it happening enough to the point that ive started to wonder why GM hasnt done a recall. Thanks for the empathy.

What about grabbing a posi rear end from a monte ss? i know the 83-84's had a 3.42 posi and the 85-88's had a 3.73 posi, according to my parts interchange program the tag should be code GT4 for the 3.73 posi if i remember right.
