lol while that would be fun just not in the budget.i got this car pretty much for replacing a fuel pump and power steering pump for free.was looking for a truck anyway so its a win win on my part but still dnt envision myself dropping real money into this when i still have my cutlass =P

might be a stupid idea but could you shim out the ac bracket with washers to get clearance without screwing up belt geometry?

grab a multimeter and go hunting.since all power is gone i wouldnt suspect a fusible link but a bad ground connection at the battery to the engine..not expensive and would likely fix your issues right up replacing the cable and cable nut or bolt or whatever you have.or just an old crapped out...

since its never really run right have you thought about the throttle shaft being loose?i know on quadrajets its a relatively normal occurrence and they have to be either drilled and new bushings put in.possibly a clogged jet?id check to see if your getting fuel from both barrels then of course...
