. Having owned my 04 Ram since new. I have learned that later model Dodge cars and trucks have two common problems. Egr and throttle body. The o-ring at the end of the egr tube will suck air, and the throttle body will need cleaning or need Replacing. A $3.00 o-ring maybe part of the...
Thanks for all the help. I did cut the driveshaft just in front of the u-joint. So I just have to clean everything up and replace the joint. And I should be good.
Quick question guys, I remember reading somewhere that an early 90s F150 with an 8.8 had a standard style u-joint flange that uses a standard u-joint. Can anyone verify this? And is there any reason or benefit between using that one over the flat 2 piece design?
I wanted to be able to use stock style arms. I already have a set of upper and lowers from Spohn. They have a nice kit, but wanted the upper mounts lower to the rear. And the price point. I could have done it even cheaper than I did, if I did not splurge for the upper joints.
Ride tech rear upper R-joints came in today. Now have everything to complete the 8.8 swap. Will modify upper mounts something like I have drawn out. The truss is not shown as it is in the garage at home.
Got som much needed work done on my Ram 1500. Installed SKF front hubs, lowered the rear 2” . Best $47.00 I have spent on it. And installed sound deadening in the doors
Just wanted to say thanks to 565bbchevy for the suggestion on the Welder adhesive. Works very well, and makes the top plate fit a lot better. Thanks again.
Sounds like it works very well. I think I will give it a try. That’s what makes this forum a great place. A wealth of knowledge and information. Thank you very much.
Got the shifter done. Now I need to repair the console where it has pulled away from the shell. Looking for some advice about what to use to glue it back down. Pictures are not great but you can see where it has laid over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The shifter is mounted in the front with two small screws. This shift handle is made to fit 15-17 mustangs. Kept watching u tube videos and thought I could get it to work. Actually, I think the size of the shaft is the same. Its just all the modifications to get it to work.
Finally able to get back to work on the Cutlass and decided to try something different. Never really liked the look of the stock shifter,so this is what I came up with to try and be a little different.
