when you start the motor it sounds fine, but once you start to get some revs up there is some bad engine knocking. if I pull the oil pan and check the screen and change the filter, will that change the knocking?? I'm scared to do more damage to this motor at this point, I don't want to destroy...

Just got the car back together after replacing the timing chain, water pump, and removing the emissions junk, pulled the oil plug to change the oil......and.......steel......so that's great news. I guess the motor is going to have to rebuilt.

Here was the culprit for the engine malfunction the other day.

And can anyone tell me the difference with the side light markers? the ones on this model are larger than other 442 models I've seen on the net.
