battery is good i just replaced the wire yesterday at the termanal im getting 15 volts ..

ok new update lol ... im getting 15 volts coming from the alt to the bat but its just not charging ? how is that possible ?

i was just out looking .. nd te wire from the alt to the bat is getting power when its disconnected form the bat .. but its just not getting in to the bat ?

is there suposed to be power coming from the brown wire to the alt or from the alt to the brown wire going to the charge light ? i connected a test light to the - on my batt and the other to the alt and no light came on ...

could i run that wire to something diffrent just to make it work ?

oh the wire works cuz when i put a ground to it the charge light comes on

continuity ? dont want to sound stupid but .. what is that ? lol and im sure there is a resistor there but would you know where it would be ? and its the stock wiring

you could hook up a toggle switch for your low beems ... or even your hi beems

well the motor was swapped .. the alt wireing dont look bad cuz its just the plug and the power from battery right ? or am i missing something

you could always do wireless ipod install .. just get a fm transmiter and a ipod car charger nd keep it origanal nd still have the music you want ...

thats exatly what i heard .. im trying to figure out what to do beacuse i know the bulb works ... but never comes on i cut the wire going from the alt to the bulb and put a ground to ti and the bulb goes on .. i take the ground off and the light goes out .... what that means i dont know .. but i...

they tested it and there is no draw ... no voltage coming from the alt to the batt .. thats 0 vlts i have everything hooked up right .. and my charge batt light never comes on ? i can run my car and lights with the batery out so the alt is working .. its just not getting power to the battery...

just had alt anb batt re checked .. both are fine .. i grounded the motor myself lastnight .. mt charge light wont come on at all ? someone told me that i have to fix that for it to charge?

nope still no charge

ok i just ran out and i cut the wires off of the clip conncetor to the alt... put my own connectors on it and reconnected it to the alt .. the motor was started the whole time when i connected it the motor dropped in rpm's .. so it think prob solved ? .. but my battery light never comes on...

what fuses should i check ?

this one is good and the last one was good ... 100% sure of it .. im not real big in to fixing my own cars but i do what i can ... and this is very aggravating lol whats next step to check ?

everything looks good .. nice and tight new battery , the motor was swapped right before i bought it .. is there anything that could of been looked over or anything like that ?

i just bought a 85 cutlass .. it has a 350 in it i replaced the battery and the alternator and it wont keep a charge for more then 20 mins ... ? what else could i check ?
