working on 78 malibu. removing ignition switch from column. installing a 2 pole key switch wired to a starter button on the dash. which wires from the column go to "key on" and which wire goes to "start".

How odd is it to have zero free play with the clutch pedal as high as possible after rebuild with new pressure plate, disc, and t/o bearing? It's a 4-speed Saginaw. Barely got the adjuster rod between z-bar and bearing release arm in place.

I have a 400 sbc in a 78 malibu classic. Trying to install Hedman #68310 long tubes. Am having fits getting starter back on. Inst. sheet says starter will slip on with header in position, can't make it happen. I get header in and start to work starter up but can not clear tail of starter to fit...

looking for someone who has installed headers, short/long, on 78 malibu with sbc and 4 speed manual. what fits, who makes it? thanks.
