I have an 88 Cutlass and I want to use the frame under a 1980 Monte any issues? We normally cut them box the frames and weld in a roll cage so I have never restored one.
The standard front anti-swaybar is around 7/8" the F-41 bar is 1-1/4" in diameter. If you have a 605 circle top steering box and plan on upgrading to the 4-bolt top 800 box you will the need Pitman arm as well. There was also a 800 box with 3.5 Turns lock to lock, its not the F-41 box.

That particular car was sweet mint frame rails and mint body! What a shame to cut her up. I sold the ashtrays for $20 on ebay. I have 2 more Cutlass and @ Monte's I'm cutting up. And we put a sweet Malibu wagon in Demo Derby in September the kid came in third and won $150 bucks. We got $91 from...
That was an FYI for other guys reading these postings. I get allot of people telling me they were junk. As we are all aware on the G-body Forum they are not JUNK and you get allot of performance parts for them. I think this al stems from the automatic transmission mistery.
Art Carr builds a 200R4 that take 650HP and no thet are not crap good transmission's for hot rods you gaoota like O/D and that nice gear ratio. They came in GN
8.5 out of a 71-72 cutlass will fit but it is 1.5 wider on each side. I'm looking into having one narrowed. The other alternative is to have an Ford 9" made up for 4 link and coil springs

Well actually I sell allot of parts to guy's restoring G bodies. The cars I buy would all have ended up in the crusher so by virtue of turning them into race cars they live on. Add to that the bonus of being able to supply parts to enthusiasts such as yourself. And hey isn't it great that a...
Well all the Earnhardt, Geoff bodine, Richard petty, Harry Gant, Darryl Waltrip and even Mark Martin fans would disagree as back in the day they all drove G bodied cars
