    1983 Cutlass Underwood wiring/fusebox

Everyone else feel the same? I remember reading something about 83 having something reverse polarity or something odd ball in the steering column? I did notice the 83 wiper motor is completely different. (Which I could swap) 83 and older has that speedometer deal under the hood as well that the...

    1983 Cutlass Underwood wiring/fusebox

I bought an 83 cutlass that the wiring going into the firewall is melted. I'd like to replace the wiring under the hood that plugs into the firewall/fuse box from a 85 donor car and use the 85 fuse box. They were both original v6 cars with power windows, locks if that makes any difference. Will...

    84 H/O rock/chip guard pictures???

Thanks, that helps. I will likely use the can stuff, just wanting something fairly close to original. (I don't have a shutz gun or anything) I'm guessing after these areas are sprayed, I should prep the rock guard areas with 320 or 400 grit prior to paint? Your rock guard looks pretty smooth, a...

What is everyone's favorite G body model and why ?

83-84 hurst/olds; 81--88 cutlass. 85 cutlass was my 1st car, love the body style and learned them pretty well. Then the hurst is the top dog of the oldsmobile cutlass world ;) the hurst pkg really set the cars off IMO

78 cutlass 260 swap questions, what motors I can use to get rid of this turd of a motor.

Any olds V8: 307 olds, 350 olds, 403 olds, etc. You have the TH200 trans? It might last if you baby it, a TH350 is a direct swap and is a much better trans.

    84 Hurst/Olds drivability issues

No temp issues. Bought a new tank and sending unit assembly online, will install once they get here and I have a chance to mess with it. It does have the factory cat; what's an easy way to check it?

    Oil Recommendation

10w30 or 10w40 high mileage oil (pennzoil, valvoline, or Castrol) is what I'd run, it has additives to help with small leaks.

    new fuel tank/filler neck

I notice many of the new fuel tanks don't have the filler neck. My question is will the original filler neck off my original tank fit into the new tank or should i just buy a new filler neck as well? What is the procedure for installing the filler neck? Thanks
