1983 Cutlass Underwood wiring/fusebox

I bought an 83 cutlass that the wiring going into the firewall is melted. I'd like to replace the wiring under the hood that plugs into the firewall/fuse box from a 85 donor car and use the 85 fuse box. They were both original v6 cars with power windows, locks if that makes any difference. Will it be the same?

Everyone else feel the same? I remember reading something about 83 having something reverse polarity or something odd ball in the steering column? I did notice the 83 wiper motor is completely different. (Which I could swap) 83 and older has that speedometer deal under the hood as well that the 84 up doesn't.

There was a major change in 85. You can probably Google the bulkhead pinouts to verify. As with anything, don't rely on the internet for complete accuracy. However, there is a ton of information out there.
