Im getting rid of my 85 Buick Regal Limited. It has a 3.8 L V6 and an Automatic trans. I was comming home one day and the car wont shift out of first gear. So I am deciding to either sell it or just put it in the junkyard for someone to snag up.
Let me know if you are interested.
Where is that valve located at??? I am pulling out the transmission and working on replacing that freeze plug in about 2 weeks or so. I might check that valve while I'm under there.
I have a water leak in my Regal and it has been leaking for the past 6 or 7 months. Every time I turn the car off, I hear a hissing sound, which is the water dripping on the exhaust on the rear, passenger side of the motor.. Is it the freeze plug (or glow plug) that is leaking???
yeah. I have an 85 Regal limited and I redid the paint job on it. The only things im missing (because of laziness) is the trim for the rear window and the Regal badges near the 1/4rs. I still have the trim for the 1/4rs on the car, but you could get them if you wanted to. Hope this helps out!!!
I don't know if this will help... But mine always turns on when I turn on my headlights and the other button next to it. And both the boarder line and the letters light up.

Well... I'm not sure if this is any help but when I was checking the plugs, I was pulling the wires off of the distributor with rubber grip pliers and I got a nice little jolt of electricity. The reason I was doing that was that the car was running like crap, so it was an easy to check if one...
I was driving home from work and I was going to pass someone, so I gave it some gas and the engine made a popping sound, sounded like a backfire from the intake. What could be causing this issue???
We just put new plugs in the car about 5 months ago and the timing is spot on (Just did that about a year ago), we also put the vaccuum gauge on it and it was not too bad.
I drive an 1985 Buick regal limited with a 3.8 v6. The car runs like crap and when I am going at any speed and try to speed up, it seems to chug and kinda go a little faster. Is this due to a clogged catalytic converter or something else???
It might actually be the carb now that I think about it. The car wasnt run for roughly a year and i just recently started using it as a daily driver. Ill try a carb rebuild kit, I think that should do the trick.
I have a 1985 Buick Regal Limited with the 3.8 V6. It has 256,000 miles on the original motor and has never been rebuilt. I was driving the other day and it seemed to be running a little rough. Its been sputtering around 45 mph and i have to give it gas to make it run right. Also, when it...
