I've been toying around with the idea of putting a 12 bolt in my regal, just for the extra piece of mind and incase I want to go ape sh*t with my 350 Buick (or put in a 455 🙂 ) and reach the 500-550hp mark. The works; alum heads and intake (keeping 750 qjet or might just toss on 850cfm holley), stout 200r4 for a good DD and 3.42 to 3.73 gear in said 12 bolt. I know UMI makes a kit for the arms for 400$ and I know its an inch and a half or so on either side (I think) but do I have to move the spring perches? Any other cutting or welding needed? Keeping drum brakes also. If they can stop an LS6 Chevelle they can stop a Regal. Any input is appreciated. EDIT: And I know the 68-72 Chevy/Poncho rears are the best to use.
