I've been playing with the idea of seeing if reproducing bigger sized rally rims would be something gbody owners would be interested in. I know they sell 22” Irocs and bigger than stock sized TA rims etc but would you guys buy 16-18 olds rally rims if gbody parts or someone put them out?

I know I'd love to be able to run disk brakes and upgrade them to bigger calipers and rotors and still have the style of the rally rims. What do you guys think?

Its already been done and the guy couldn't the first three people on board to buy a set so that the wheel manufacturer would make a run of them. I believe he was using Booze wheels.

I've seen SSI wheels in 17" sizes however they look just like the reproduction Chevelle SS ralley rims. I'm not up on the early wheels so maybe they are supposed to look like that. Haven't seen any SSII's.

Here's a few pictures of the billet SSIII's that Gary Willard was working on. I believe he had one set made as a prototype set but like I mentioned was never able to get enough people interested in buying a set to get the company to make a run of them.

They weren't cheap @ $800-$1000 per wheel but weren't too bad either when compared to other custom billet wheels.

This was one test fitted on Luke's '83 H/O.

Here's one compared to an original 15x7 wheel. I believe the red pinstripe on the billet wheel was added in photoshop:

You also have this option.

NewGen 500 wheel that looks similar to the SS1:

These are what I have shown on my car rendering in my sig. They are in the same price range as the Billet SSIII's.

I thought that at first but actually like them the more I see them.

You'd never really notice it unless you were parked next to a car that had an original set.
