I found out that the factory cam in my motor has a lobe separation of 115 degrees and a lift of .450. I don't know what these cars could run in the quarter with a 4 speed, but I know most could pull 13 to 14 seconds from the factory. Will the XE268 work on a big block 383 chrysler motor though?
That I can't tell you. The last time I was in anything with a B wedge it was in a 1976 Chrysler Newport 4 door that was used to deliver pizza by an old guy named Bernie, about 10 years ago. That was also the last time I ever worked on a B wedge too as I replaced the water pump on it in between deliveries one night. Man was that thing HUGE! I would try some of the Mopar boards to see what all the cool kids are running in their 383's these days. I was just thinking it would because it seems about right for the displacement of the engine.
