Got her running. It fired right up. I could not believe it. Got a little noise I have to identify before letting run too much longer. Oil pressure is at 60 lbs. . Too low in the front for me.
Says video too large to download. I'll keep trying to downsize it.
That's awesome news! I haven't commented much on your build, but I like the look!

In regards to the video, it's easier to post it on youtube, then "share" it by copy and pasting it here.

Well things went bad over the weekend. The newly rebuilt motor had a death squeal happening in bottom end. I pulled it and replaced with my 72 455 spare I have. Going to check out the 400 later this year. Then my newly rebuilt 200 4r has a broken cross shaft, replacing that now. Talk about bad luck all at once. I fixed the low fe though. Three weeks to car show and basically at square one. I'll get her though.

keep plugging away, not all luck is bad... unless you're me! lol

at least it's happening now, instead of on the road...

I have waited too long to build this setup. I will succeed. Thanks for the positive message. I will take end of next week off to spend time that is needed.

Sucks about your motor, but you'll get 'er. Also, what # carb were you running?

I actually have a 1972 800 cfm Qjet with the throttle base from a 1982 Chevrolet so I have the right factory linkage setup to use the 200 4r transmission detent without burning up the transmission. Looks like factory under hood also.

I mean on the motor in the pic you posted earlier of the accessory drive. Looks like a '75+ Buick carb. The arm is a dead giveaway to being a Buick.

That is a 1984 800 cfm Oldsmobile carb from a 307 built by Quadrajetb power. Com

Forgot the base from the Chevy would not work on the 72 Qjet

Well for update. I put in my 72 455 short block with the 400 to end parts. Hope to stay this week and tune. Also got front end back to stock setup. Now much closer to sleeper look I desire.

What are you going 4x4ing?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
