Took out one header today to repaint it with 2000% high temp paint..its a satin paint nothing fancy, i did one hole can for the header so it can have a good coat..took it down all the way down , because i heard that these flowtech headers that are not ceramic coated can rust and look nasty...they should be sanded and wire wheels to the metal and paint with a rust free paint..ck it out looks good and the same as they looked new..im happy with them, just need them to cure for about 2 wks.

So today i got a call from a CL SELLER that he had some malibu "mirror finish smoked out front headlight"..my bro in law is a mechanic and i post tons of parts and cars/ vehicles for him on craigslist, he gave me 6 amps as a return. Posted them on CL and traded two amps a jensen and performance technique for these all glass front mirror smoked head lights.they look sweet.. I like them and i could put HID lights on them, of course thats next....ck them out..

Also i beleive the malibu is painted, passed through the paint shop and they didnt want me to see the malibu in the paint booth, said it was a surprise...hummmm ummmmmm...MALIBU BETTER BE PAINTED!!!hahhaha going to ck in tomorrow rain or shine!! Stay tuned

they gonna make me come to la and slap they asses if that bu aint painted!!!!lol

didnt want you to see the malibu in the booth? go back up there and check the car out bro! this is when you want to see it make sure there are no over looked steps, dents, etc... PERIOD! you are paying your money and putting good work into this build.... I dont like how "surprise" sounds... there are no surprises in good paint jobs

Skip is absolutely right, bro. If you catch any screw ups or anything that doesn't meet your approval...now is the time to act.
Good luck! I'm sure the final results are going to look stunning. 8)

Thanks guys for cking in, on Wed i went since he told me that it was getting painted this week, and they were wet sanding it checking for dent and imperfections.he did tell me that the body was pretty straight but had a ton of little small dents, ...i inspected the mally and found like 3 things that needed attention on the fiberglass bumpers..little chips, and the shaved emblem up front still had fiberglass, so i pretty much inspected it before friday when it hit the booth.. Im pretty confident with them and i know they get down🙂 I think they were just f@cking with me since were good buddies and mess around all the time...will be cking in today over there..Stay tuned

where the front bumper meets the fender, did they work that area to make the two parts match, or is that a lip i'm seeing in the pic, hard to tell from the angle...

hopefully they taped the fender off, block sanded/grinded the bumper down and then re glassed the bumper in so that it matches up without a lip...
