what type of rearend is that, and how wide is the rear tire...

It's a fab nine housing from strange engineering.

The rears are 29x10.5 hoosier quick pro dot slicks.

thank you trying to figure out what i need to do for my rear and tub, etc. do you know what the measurement is flange to flange? did you just tell them what you were doing and they made it and shipped it to you, or you had to tell them what dimensions you needed?... do you think i can use this to figure out how much shorter i need to go, for a wider tire... for instance if i want to stick a 20x15 back there, could i just shorten it up another 4.5"?

I don't have the measurement on me, I'll get it tonight when I get home from work. My axle is the narrowest you can go while still using stock suspension.

I did get it too the track. I had issues with my engine, my engine builder up here screwed me. He didn't put the parts into the engine I paid for, so the engine wasn't what I told Patrick at Prosystems. So the carb he ent me never worked. It ran a best of 12.04 at 110mph bogging the entire way. I hurt the bottom end so I never got to see what it would do running right.

Now I'm just running a little 305 in it that's out of a friends circle track truck. I made two passes yesterday and it ran 13.86 at 95 mph. We are swapping cams and taking the two barrel off and putting a four barrel back on. Gotta love running what you have laying around. I'm hoping for mid 12's on this little 305.... Better than parking the car for the year.
