Just an idea, but you may want to think about using the spring loaded cabinet magnets to hold it up. Then with just a push it will release and open. Wouldn't need a handle, just need to glue the metal plates to the back for the magnets.

ok so another update, ive been up to alot but my phone has been broken so i havent been able to send any pics. but in the last week i did rear control arms uppers and lowers and then a brace for them from hotchkis, uppers were adjustable edelbrocks, bottoms are boxed. so that made the suspension alot better in the rear. and then i had bought a jenson single din radio and hooked that up. its hot a 7 inch touch screen and its perdy cool, i also bought a backup cam for it but im not going to put it in the back of the car im just going to find a cool place to put it. but today i painted up my jeep steering shaft and put it in. i didnt see that much of a difference but oh well it looks cool. i also replaced my plug wires. they are msd street fire wires, cut to fit. they came out good i thought. here are some crappy pics for now. ill get some of the radio and rear suspension tomarrow.
