Had a tenant pass away & the next of kin is not claiming his property.
So I need to know what this is worth & What to do with it ? Part out, Sell as is or Fix it up & Sell ?
I did just finished my 83 Camino total rebuild from a $1400 stocker to a great street/Bracket racer. (Me & a few buddy's)
It's in pretty good shape for a 79. Rust on hood & around the back window.
Has the 301 & TH350. Has 2 little books with all he did to it from the beginning when he bought it in 81 with 35000 miles For $5000.
It now has over 400,000 & still sounds good & no smoke.
Interior in good shape, Has a towel on dash for many years & still in pretty good shape.
So What would you do ?
Thanks

In its present state, You would have to find the right person that is into this model of G-bodies.
It will have to be a person that works on cars and has a place to store it.
Its looks like a car from down south so hopefully the underbody doesn't have the rust problems of the Midwest Rust belt salt destroying states.
The 1978-1980 Grand Prix was not a popular car back then but it still looks great and is basically the same as the rest of the G-bodies.
I think in the coming years (say 10-20 years) a Low mile model in good condition will be worth allot.
They are getting more and more hard to find and that makes the value go up.

If it were mine, I would totally keep it and build it or lightly restore it. Of course, I'm a huge sucker for 78-80 GP's, especially V8/Bucket seat cars

It's worthless; take it apart or risk getting screwed on the title by your state. 400,000 miles on a frame is a tough sell but lots of people are looking for those body panels & hood/trunk + fillers...

The car appears to be worth saving but it's going to take someone with a passion for one because the money put into it will far out weigh what the car will be worth. Sounds like you have no real desire for the car so I would broom it - It would make a good drag car project. I could only get $3000.00 for my 81 LJ W/ 52,000 mi that was listed here, w/ many new parts including engine.

First, get the title in your name.
Car is pretty loaded. I'd clean it up and keep or flip it.
I have thebug front bumper strips you need. Tail lights are easy to find...I think I may even have some..

Filled the papers for title. Should have it after Christmas. Still haven't decided to part or sell whole ?
Dash & Console looks in great shape ?

What condition are the rear frame rails in? That could make your decision easier.
I'd clean it up and list it on Craigslist before I spent months taking it apart, boxing and shipping everything.
Once you go over 100,000 miles, why does the milage even mater? People replace spring, rotors and drivetrains everyday.
