This is my 1979 Malibu Landau factory 4 speed, posted this thought it might help other people that were trying to authenticate if there malibu was a factory 4 speed car. My car came with more documentation than i have seen on any malibu site. This car came as seen , with the possibility of engine being replaced, as you can see in my paper work , one page show,s 5.7 litre and the 2nd page say,s 5.0. shifter boot has been replaced , supposedly i am the 3rd owner ,i also received the original 1979 title ! The production numbers seem to vary a lot i have seen as little as 260 a year to less than 2000 g body,s a year period 78 - 86 . And of course this is not including the iraqi taxi ,s those were ALL 4 door cars

Always nice to see another stick car! But... That boot and shifter are definitely wrong. Almost looks like the floor doesn't have the "hump" in it, or in the right place, either. Then again I've seen a couple chevrolet cars that claim to be factory sticks without the hump, so *shrug* I don't know anymore. The shifter almost looks too far back, too, but that could just be the replacement. Maybe the original broke and somebody swapped in a f-body or aftermarket unit or something? The rest of the docs and important bits would indicate its a stick car. (and yeah I need a tilt stick column, too!!!)
