As I progress with my Cutlass refurbishing, will be interested in what there is for the 78-80 cutlass posts out there.
My car is my first car ever owned, owned since 1988, driven daily until 1998, stored or garaged since, with minimal drives to keep it alive.
Current 2019 state is in disassembly. Gathering info and knowledge as the car heads toward a new lease on life with better options out there to choose from.
Why reinvent the wheel when others have forged that ground before. Thank you all who have done so.

I'd put the chrome back on and lose the cowl. Otherwise, it's perfect!!!
Enginewise? A stroker small block Olds with fuel injection would be my suggestion. Back it with a 2004r.

Welcome. Nice looking car, obviously well kept.

If you're looking for other '78-'80 threads, there are a few. Mine isn't really all that active but there's almost 10 years worth. https://gbodyforum.com/threads/grandpa-car-1979-cutlass-thread.13162/
I'm sure you're already aware that 90% of the mechanical stuff isn't Cutlass specific

Be sure to check out Rktpwrd's build threads. Incredible attention to detail.

I usually don't like the cowl hood, Iooks ok on that car. I second the small block Olds stroker and built 2004R.
