that rx-7 swap would be so amazing! i have seen some LS1 swaps into those cars but an old carbed motor would be awesome

I ended up passing on the rx-7. I've got so much going on right now, I'm barly able to touch my cutlass.
Last thing I needed was a second work order.
In totally unrelated news, GTA4 for ps3 is consuming my life.

UPDATE?!?!?! NO WAY?

So I spent the last 2 weeks pulling parts off blazers and selling them, then I scrapped my 87 blazer, this weekend the 91 jimmy previously pictured in this thread goes to scrap. Prices are so high.

Anyways I pulled the frontend off this morn, as you can see the lovely previous owner got shoepolish happy on the hood and it never really came off haha.
<3 you Missy haha

I'm under the dash minimizing stuff now.
Basically it will have headlights, turnsignals, wipers and four ways.
Everything else will be gone. Only stock gauge Im running is a speedo . thats just for now.

Started pulling apart my back up engine.
I guess for no reason It had less than 10k on it when I bought it.
I'm going to replace just about everything in it maitnence wise
It has a nice double roller, good lifters 030 pistons
Basically all brand new stuff.
I'm just going tto change the bearings and rings to do it.
Probably swap the cam and rebuild the heads with better valve springs.

Just Karter, I have a favor to ask since your car is dismantled like mine is. I just started a thread on component weight in the Knowledge base forum, and I was hoping you could weigh your hood and some other stuff on a bathroom scale and post it up there. I will be posting the weight of my aluminum hood, and wanted a steel hood to have as a means of comparison. Thanks!

If it has no signs of rust, it may be aluminum. I have yet to see one without at least a little surface rust anywhere, and many of them are rotted out at the leading edge.
