I have finished my swap and been driving it for a while. I had it "tuned" by a dyno tuner( but not on the dyno) to a tune that he had, using HP tuners. NOW, my question to merv, you are tuning your car yourself correct? I would like to learn myself. suggestions? BTW, car sound good!

I'm looking to hit the track here May 15th, Engine is running very strong.

I do my own tuning, best way to learn is research and read, then attempt it when you feel confident with your knowledge.

And if you plan to do your own tuning, make sure you have the right tech to monitor the big things. Wide band is your friend, and EGT if you feel you need that too. Wide band will help you get your fuel right and keep you from hopefully melting your new motor down. Its how I learned to tune my imports. Knock sensor, wideband and EGT plus a logger.

If your using something like an LSx motor, you get the benefit of OBD2, and you can get a wireless logger system that you can monitor from your smart phone if you want to go the super tech savy route.
