how did you switch the RPMs to work on a v8?

I haven't done it yet, I still want to get a little more info on how.
But people on here have told me you take the gauge pack out, and on the back will be a little switch and you push it up, and it should change the rpms.
But some never came with the switch so I am still not for sure if mine have it, but I will soon find out.

David,
looking good. If someone offers you the $3000...take it. Like the other guys said, if you look around, you could find something nicer and in unmolested condition. Maybe even a nice Cutlass Cruiser wagon.
You've certainly learned alot from this car. Perhaps you'll use that experience to find something that you'll truly enjoy.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Thank you so much.
Yeah That's what i would want just a all stock and factory cutlass. I actually found a cruiser for only 900 nothing wrong with it and my wife really loves it cause she loves wagon (family cars).
So I was thinking about getting and a regular cutlass.
Thanks again, for the kind words.

dont sell it, you will regret it.

I would agree DON'T SELL IT!

There is a side of me who is going to regret and doesn't want to let it go.
But i know its for the best, I can get rid of this and get an even better Cutlass, that is in better shape.
I have a little over 5000 into this car and Honestly I cannot put anymore into it. So I think its time to sell and get whatever i can for it and find one that doesn't need work, or at least a ton anyhow.

So pretty much just wondering what you all think.
I know I still gotta see it, so I am going to meet up with him and we can see each others cars and get a feel if we really want to trade.
But overall you all think it looks/sounds like a good deal?

I think you would be extremely foolish to make that trade. Why on Earth would you subject yourself to buying just another non original car that will just end up having a host of different problems. I mean sure, it's got a 350 BIG block, but...

I will stand 100% behind what I stated before; If you want a different car, you should get an unmolested STOCK ORIGINAL car then get a Chassis Service Manual and be able to fix ( and learn ) everything about your car.

Buy this Monte and you'll be posting questions here within a week on how to fix X and Y because the previous owner 'modified' something and did a crap job.

Ain't that the truth! Even when I'm just looking at cars on CL; the first hint of a fkd up paint job, modified interior or anything along these lines puts me off....elderbrock, morosso, gadges, no a/c, or 350 big block? Bad move IMO.
