you from lou ky? cool, I think i seen this car on lou cl.

Yep Lou Ky, Not to many nice cars down this way, and if they are nice they go for way way way to much.

yep, i thought i seen it on there..oh really? i see alot of gbody's when i go down there, but most of 'em are on 26's or 28's or the like. i honestly get a lot of parts down there for misc autos that i'm fixing for myself.

Hey I watched video of your car recently and it reminded me very much of my 79 MC because the engine sounded so similar. I too had an 80s 350. I was able to achieve around 20 MPG in it with some timing adjustment and a thrifty rochester '380' carb. I think some fine tuning could do the same for you as long as there arent head gasket/ intake leaks and oil leaks going on. Then again, I didnt know how your gearing is I had the standard 2.41 We know for a fact the car was getting 18-20 mpg because the fuel gauge was not trustworthy so we had to do math related to the fuel tank.

Maybe some air-ride shocks out back would work the magic to satisfy your wife. I see you're not in the budget for them yet, but keep in mind a newborn baby doesnt really belong in the car for the first month of it's life so you've got months to work that out. If you do replace your car w/ another G I'd go w/ the cutlass if I was you. Having owned both a Cutlass and a MC I can tell you right now the ride quality is much more spongy and satisfactory for a female, and 307's are lame but can be adjusted to achieve about 20 mpg too - they just wont burn any rubber set up that way is all. The ride different cutlass vs MC is similar, but the stock cutlass is as a cadillac whereas the mc is as a camaro in comparison!

Yep. So when they have them its like they want you to pay an extra 8000for the rims alone.
It seems the more I get on CL, Its just every Gbody is to much.

If your ever down here, i would love to hangout. I have no friends that get into the same cars and never really even know what these cars are.
I just need to get other friends to talk cars with.

damn i forgot i was in the cutlass section im retarded 😳 . Anyway just dont replace your car w/ a MC or the wife will not be thrilled

Yeah it has no leaks or anything, i got all new gaskets.
I drove it a couple times and got pretty decent mileage, Not the best from her standards.
Since she loves little Honda's and very small cars, which i am 6'3 and weigh about 255 I don't fit well in any type of import style car that she gets into.
My gauge works perfectly as of now, but sometimes it will be weird so I think its going out which sucks.
That is very true, I have a while till its here and then when its here were not going anywhere for a while.
Oh yeah this is my first Cutlass, i was a huge huge MC guy i always wanted one cause my uncle has a perfect 86 SS and it was never touched and he drove it everywhere, Only has about 80,000 miles and same engine always kept in shops if ANYTHING went wrong. Just loved that car. But when I got my Cutlass my whole mind changed, I love everything about Cutlass's now their body everything. So its safe to say I am a olds man now, lol.

Yeah the bridge is out of hand.
To long trying to make it over and even longer trying to get back over.
But parts are pretty good down here, I mean I am having a hard trying to find Cutlass parts on CL, But I am still trying.
I will for sure, If you ever have anything you don't need I would gladly come out and pay you for it depending if you need it or not.
I need a deck lid right now, so that's what I am really trying to get as of now.

there's hardly anything cutlass related on cl as of right now, but i've got tons for my truck dwn there..i got alot of cutlass parts dwn there as well, but it was around 3 yrs ago, gbody cutlass in our areas are just few n far between anymore...most around IN and KY have been used for dirt track cars or scraped out. you need a deck lid? have u tried p.a.p? i was there a couple weeks ago and pretty sure there was one. I'm from around Bedford,In...only about 70 miles from ya.

i'm needing a side marker light lens for 81-86 cutlass that isnt faded out for front left side, if u see one cheap

also...the oil sending unit and temp switch if u still got the 307 olds laying around...need the ones for the rallye gauges
