Well the exhaust is next in line, I've been waiting for it for a while and now I'm finally getting to it. The exhaust will be all new from the catylitic conv. back, although I will be reusing the cat. The pipe is gonna be 2.5 in vs 2 in, and the muffler will be a stainless flowmaster 80 series dual outlet. It will be near identical to the setup on f bodies. Here's the muffler- http://m.autozone.com/autozone-mobile/e ... ?id=332747

De-spraybomb-ification has begun in the joesregalproject garage! I'm using my handy harbor-freight DA sander and a lot of 220 grit discs.

Its been a while since I've updated, so here is the little bits of things I've done in the past month. I got my flowmaster 80 series dual outlet stainless muffler, it has yet to be installed-

I changed a leaky valve cover gasket, which became a much bigger pain than intended, as one of the bolt holes stripped out, but after running a tap through it, the bolt tightened, I just was careful not to torque it too crazy. I was kinda mad, so i didnt bother to take any pictures, but the head had a lot less sludge in it than last time.

My car also developed an ignition problem that has yet to be resolved, I figure it is the starter, starter selenoid, or starter relay.

Took a junkyard trip today, and found a whole lot less than I thought I would, but I got my upper window seals out of a monte, and a cigarette lighter that I've been after-

The guy at the yard just gave them to me.

This car had a really nice interior. It was grey and had buckets and was complete except for the console was missing. The bucket seats were in awesome shape, except the tracks had really been butchered. They also needed the back plastic panels, but the cushions were clean and in great shape. I wanted to take the seatbelt buckles out of it, except I needed maroon, and with my history of dying interior plastics, I didn't even bother. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the interior.

Did you need one of the plastic buckle cap things? My driver's side cap was gone when I bought the car so I just stole the one from the rear seat. I have a repro plastic one on the back seat buckle now.
Hopefully that weather stripping works out for you. The new ones I bought for my repaint are really stiff. I had to readjust the window guides and I really have to slam the door when the windows are up. I hope they get better with time.

I needed both of the buckles themselves to finish off my bucket seat swap. Well since I got the rubber for free, I'm pretty happy. It's not that I don't like aftermarket parts, it's just, I would never spend $150 on something so insignificant. Admittedly, I am kind of a cheap-*ss, so I was glad I found these.

I mostly did it because I'm no stranger to leaks in my car and I'm almost paranoid about them. I'm lucky my floor pans were in such good shape but my carpet was trashed and I think my passenger seat has a stain on it from dripping water. Make sure you scrape all of the old rubber out of your weather strip rails so it makes a good seal and doesn't have fitment issues.

Well I appriciate your asking, it's always nice to know there is some interest in my car, but honestly, there has been very little progress. I have been doing a lot of sanding with the orbital sander and that's about it. I'm getting ready to install manual windows pending getting the regulators from 1evilregal. My ignition system isn't working, I believe it's the starter. Here are some up to date photos-

Sorry I sanded them off today before I checked back. 😳 If I'd a known i would have taken a picture for you. About a month ago I was in the garage and had a tiny bit of paint left in the spray can, but nothing significant, so I started messing around, and that's what happened. Nothing permanent, just for temporary entertainment. They do look pretty badass though, eh?
