All right guys, I've cooled down. Sorry for flipping out, I just had a stressful day and couldn't take any more. I will continue to update. I've made a good bit of progress on Oil/Bondo Incident Recovery, I grinded out the old stuff, filled it with new filler. I also removed all the oil from the body of the car. I sanded off some more spray bomb primer, and now the bottom is pretty much all I have left to get off. I will get a picture up, probably tomorrow.

it happens to everyone from time to time, don't let it get ya down!

Well it has been a while since I've updated, but headway is being made. My computer is near its end, so I have lost the ability to upload images without making the computer crash. The heater core was changed out, it was a lot easier than I thought. The old one had a nasty gash in it. My valve covers have been replaced with chrome Edelbrock Signature Series ones and cork gaskets, and the leaking has slowed. I may not have sealed the one gasket too great, so it's leaking a little bit, but still less than before. I got a chrome rear differential cover from a parts event I went to, and changed it and the fluid out as well. I fixed my one headlight bucket, found a battery tie- down, and got the bell housing inspection cover I've been looking for.

Ive got all the old primer sanded off, and have started spraying spot with U-Pol High #5. Those spots were first sanded down to 320 grit. I bought a gallon of Defender 2 Rust Inhibitor/ Primer for the underside of the car, and after the car is painted, I will paint the underside semi gloss black on top of the Defender. I've decided that I'm gonna keep my chrome trim, so I'm out to find a chrome grille and bezels, but I need to do some other stuff first.

Paint will be coming up soon, and I found a supplier- http://www.smartshoppersinc.com/ they won't custom mix a color for me, so I'm down to picking colors again. I'm down to three- Sun Burnt Copper Pearl (which looks closest to original, but I'm afraid will look orange), Merlot, or Black Cherry Pearl. Check them out and tell me what you think- http://www.smartshoppersinc.com/colorchart.html

So as it sits, the to-do list is-

1. Wire Wheel and Rust Proof the underside
2. Exhaust
3. Bumper Fillers
4. Final Paint Prep
5. Paint
6. Chrome Trim, New Lock & Mirror Gaskets,
install new weatherstripping.
7. Paint underside low-gloss black

I will attempt to put up a YouTube video of it, when possible. Please weigh in on the color choices!

being a pearl color, I believe the copper will have a slight amount of orange at certain angles... nice looking color though...

I'm partial to the merlot, as that's one of my favorite red hues, and the black cherry pearl is a gorgeus color... glad I don't have to make the final decision! 😀

glad things are going better than earlier this year. if you stumble, you get back up and keep going.

I like black, and I've thought about it, but I think it should be restricted to GNs and Turbo Ts. So far, I'm kinda leaning towards the Black Cherry, which will almost look black in the shade.

Black Cherry is awesome. It kind of reminds me of the paint on my car. Soon I'm going to have to get a paintjob as well. And To be honest a Black regal with all the chrome would look so different and awesome.

What wrong with the paint on your car? It looks great.

P.S.- Just out of curiousity, did you ever sell that Cutlass?
