can't wait to see it, always loved the burgandy colored cars!

Thanks Driven, Darin. I honestly have a total bug up my *ss to get it in color by summer. I think if I spent one entire weekend on it, maybe two, I could have it ready.

PS Darin, I never saw any pics of that cowl hood you got from Tobyp. I got the bumper fillers off the same car. But please, I'm dying to see it!

here ya go joe!

also picked up this spoiler he had from a cutlass... not sure if I'm going to use this, look for a f-body spoiler, or suck it up and buy a new 442 spoiler that toby helped bring to market...

Work on the car has kinda stalemated with the weather, but buying parts for it hasn't, lol. I bought a set of long tube headers for it from lilbowtie, I plan on installing those this summer, with some sort of no-cat, true dual setup, perhaps dumping the exhaust under the car(?). Anyone know if there is a dual-hump crossmember for the 200 metric trans?
Also been buying floor shift conversion parts, I bought a cutlass console, a shifter, most of the brackets, and a shifter cable and boot. Here's some pics-

I've always thought about putting headers on my 3.8, but never did anything about it.

I gutted the cat on mine and put the empty pipe back on a while back. Took a big screwdriver and hammer and chiseled the cat clean
Runs way better, no negatives in doing this IMO unless you have to pass emissions, but we don't have to worry about that down here in FLA.

I've heard about the G-Force crossmemer, but I'm not sure if it will work with the metric 200. I have although seen true dual exhaust using the stock crossmember. It had both pipes running side by side in the stock location of the single exhaust. Once it passed the crossmember, the drivers side pipe split off.
You could of course always cut a notch out of the stock crossmember to run a pipe on the drivers side, seen that done too. I like the first one though, running both the pipes in the stock location having them do a little jog around the transmission, i guess you could say.

I like the color choice Joe, We can have twins 🙂. I know what you mean about being to cold to work as I was halted to a grind this winter buy I finally got my front suspension back together on two mild days.

Haha! Only twins until you lay down the throttle on my car, lmao. I don't know if I'm gonna use that console or not, it is not in as good of shape as I hoped, but it still isn't bad. I'm looking at getting a set of WE4 wheels for it in place of the olds Rallye wheels on it. I'll keep you guys updated.

I bought the paint today. I choked up the money and got talked into buying the "fancier" kit instead of the cheaper kit. I bought the Black Diamond Low VOC basecoat kit. Includes Kirker's best primer, best base coat, and best clear coat. It was still really inexpensive compared to PPG or DuPont's cheaper paints. The deal on the WE4 wheels fell through. Anyway, I'm damn excited to be getting my paint.
