I am not sure if it applies but I once had a Pontiac engine that had a fuel leak, it seems there is a seep hole on the mechanical fuel pump and the pump diaphragm went and it would shoot fuel out of this hole while I was driving but not at idle and it took a while to figure out where my gas was going.
You know what? I didnt think of that at all. I do get a scent from that area. But it isnt strong at all. I may replace it with a electric fuel pump. Thanks

If the pump was the issue I would just replace it with a new stock pump.

Or that too. Ill go ahead and replace it to stock. That has to be the problem. No leaks anywhere else. New oil new spark plugs, new wires. Tune was done to it. It could be just that. When it just idles. Gas hand doesnt move one bit. So im going with the leaking as i drive. Cause you can see it move constantly when the car is in motion.

Any check engine lights? Are you using ethanol gas? The first one effects mileage big time. The second doesn't help either.

Your in town mileage won't be great. How cold is it there?

Is the tank actually low or is the gauge just bouncing around?
